Rethinking Seriousness: Beyond the Adult Facade
Challenging the Conventional Wisdom of Growing Up
Looking back at my teen years, I realise I was way more chill back then. Life was like this giant playground, and I didn't take things too seriously.
Sure, I had my goals and stuff, but I wasn't Mr. Serious or anything.
Anytime someone blasted music, I was the first one up dancing – and let me tell you, I was no Michael Jackson on the dance floor! But who cared? I was having the time of my life.
I was always up for a laugh, whether it was pulling pranks with my buddies, chatting up random people on dares, or even jokingly proposing to girls I liked – all in the spirit of good fun, of course.
I guess you could say I was the free-spirited, playful type.
Fast forward to now, and it's like, where did that guy go?
I'm definitely more serious these days. Don't get me wrong, I still have a bit of that fun-loving dude in me, but it's not quite the same.
I stumbled upon this article and, man, it's like a blast from the past! It really got me thinking about this whole concept of being serious.
